Fourth opening boost for Travel Inn Capital

Travel Inn Capital, the budget brand for London, has opened its fourth hotel situated in Tower Bridge as part of its £300m expansion plan.

Travel Inn said the 197-room hotel achieved 100% occupancy on its first night of opening and was a good start to its ambition to double the size of the Travel Inn empire, which currently has 220 hotels and 12,488 rooms in the UK, by 2004.

In April, Travel Inn unveiled its new brand Travel Inn Metro to include those hotels in the UK’s top 30 cities and five key regional airports. As an extension of that, the hotels in London and at Heathrow Airport were named Travel Inn Capital.

Managing director of Travel Inn Grant Hearn said: “This is the next step in our plans to double the size of Travel Inn and the Tower Bridge Travel Inn Capital is a jewel in the crown of our positioning in London.”

London’s other Travel Inn Capitals are in County Hall, Euston and Putney Bridge.
