Airport splashes out on facilities


LEEDS/BRADFORD Airport investment in new facilities will hit the £20m mark over the next two years.



A £6m extension to the terminal is due for completion by October 2000, paid for by the airport’s owners, a consortium of local councils



A new arrivals and baggage reclaim area is being built, along with a larger immigration area. New catering and retail sites will also open.



Macdonald Hotels is also due to open a £14m four-star hotel during winter 2000 near the terminal. The 200-bedroom building will have conference and leisure facilities.
