Bookings open for maiden voyage of Holland America’s Koningsdam

Bookings have opened for the first sailings by Holland America’s Line’s new ship Koningsdam in the Mediterranean in 2016.


The first sailing of the line’s new flagship will be a seven-day cruise followed by a six 12-day itineraries.


The maiden voyage departs from Civitavecchia, the port for Rome, on February 20, 2016, to Dubrovnik, Corfu, Katakolon, and Naples.


Cruise-only prices start at £699 per person, based on two sharing.


The ship will then run two alternating 12-day itineraries from Civitavecchia. The first calls at Katakolon, Piraeus, Rhodes, Crete, Istanbul, Kusadasi and Naples. The other visits Naples, Palermo, Cagliari, Gibraltar, Cadiz, Malaga, Cartagena and Barcelona.


Holland America Line president, Orlando Ashford, said: “Since Holland America Line announced this beautiful new ship, guests have been asking when they can book the Premiere voyages, so we anticipate they will sell out quickly.


“It’s always an exciting day when the bookings open for the first time, and if guests want to be on one of the first voyages of Koningsdam we recommend they book early.”
