Former Cunard boss Peter Shanks has joined agency Imagine Cruising.
Shanks has taken up the role of development director, supporting managing director Robin Deller.
His role will focus on business development, international expansion and media relations in the UK and South Africa, where Imagine Cruising also has a presence.
He previously worked with Carnival UK for 12 years in a number of senior roles across Princess Cruises and Ocean Village, and most recently served as president and managing director of Cunard.
Prior to that, Shanks worked for First Choice, Going Places and Thomas Cook.
Commenting on the appointment, Deller said: “Peter’s wide experience will prove valuable as we enter the next phase of our growth. We are delighted that he is joining us and looking forward to him being part of the Imagine Cruising team.”
Shanks added: “Imagine Cruising is an exciting young business with a unique and successful business model. I am greatly looking forward to working with Robin and the team as we develop and grow the business further.”
