MARRIOTT International’s annual Global Pursuits exhibition, aimed at the business market, will take place over two days this year because demand for the event is so high.
For the first time, the event has been divided between one day dedicated to the UK and US business travel, conference and incentive market and another for the rest of Europe.
A spokeswoman for Marriott said 1,000 people are expected to attend each day.
She said:”The event is now in its third year and is now so popular that it is getting too big to manage everyone in one day. A lot of people have clicked on to the fact that this is a great opportunity to meet buyers and sellers.”
Representatives from over 120 Marriott International hotels, as well as exhibitors from the technology, conference and incentive sectors will be at the exhibition, which is co-sponsored by British Airways.
There will also be seminars on a range of subjects including the euro; how to sell hotels; how to book incentive travel and conferences; technology issues and training programmes.
The European event will take place at the London Marriott Hotel, Heathrow, onSeptember 7, while the UK and US event will take place at the LondonMarriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, on September 9.
