Leeds Bradford airport claims record year

Leeds Bradford airport is claiming a record year with passenger numbers exceeding 3.3 million for the first time in its 83-year history.

The airport’s network has grown to serve 70 destinations with direct flights to 23 countries with 10 major airlines.

Monarch Airlines, Thomson and Jet2 are adding new destinations for summer 2015 including Alicante, Antalya, Corfu, Kefalonia, Malta, Naples and Tunisia.

This follows Aer Lingus returning to the Yorkshire airport after 14 years with a Dublin service offering connections to the US and Canada and British Airways marking its second year back on the Leeds Bradford-Heathrow route.
