At a time when our industry appears to be in constant turmoil, one could be forgiven for thinking it’s every man for himself! Wrong!
We recently had occasion to contact the ABTABenevolent Fund on behalf of a former member of staff who delivered premature twins two years ago.
The rearing of twins is a daunting task under any circumstances but it was soon discovered that both girls suffer from cerebral palsy, one to a lesser degree than the other.
The younger twin, Rebecca now requires a special body suit to keep her body rigid and develop her muscles for the future.
Unfortunately, this essential aid is not available under the NHS. We contacted the fund to see whether any assistance could be given.
The matter was dealt with professionally and efficiently but, above all, with respect.
Iam delighted that Rebecca will now get her special body suit, thanks to the generosity of the fund.
On behalf of Rebecca I would like to say a very big thank you to the ABTABenevolent Fund and, in particular to Ande Soteri – your work is not given enough acclaim within our industry!
