Carnival Corporation’s six UK brands united last night (Thursday) to honour top trade partners and strong sales teams.
The UK Cruise Awards marked the first time all of the brands have come together to present gongs to the trade.
The big winner on the night was Iglu Cruise who picked up the award for outstanding contribution and partnership with all six brands.
Iglu was chosen because of the way it works with the brands individually and the marketing channels it uses. The online agency also won a partnership achievement award from Princess Cruises.
Princess presented its outstanding achievement award to Virgin Holidays Cruise.
Seabourn’s managing director Lynn Narraway presented Six Star Cruises with the outstanding achievement award, while Sovereign Cruise Club won Seabourn partnership of the year.
Bath Travel won an outstanding achievement award from P&O Cruises, and the line presented its partnership achievement award to Bolsover Cruise Club.
Cunard handed its outstanding contribution award to Imagine Cruising and Sovereign Cruise Club picked up another partnership gong from the luxury line.
Holland American Line awarded Jetline Cruise with the outstanding contribution award, while Carnival Cruise Line presented Cruise Nation with that award.
Carnival presented Virgin Holidays Cruises with its partnership award because of the close relationship it has with tourist boards and the way the agency “actively seeks feedback from clients”.
