THE founder of the Truly Independent Professional Travel Organisation has stepped down even before the group has got off the ground.
Cadogan Holidays managing director Gary David, who has spent four months single-handedly setting up TIPTO, said he will take no further part in its development.
“There are other people with a wealth of knowledge and experience who will be able to take the organisation forward,” said David. “I need to concentrate on running my own tour operation.”
A chairman, deputy chairman and treasurer will be appointed at TIPTO’s inaugural meeting on July 2.
