Agents’ important role responsible for Royal’s dedication to trade, claims MD

A third of holidaymakers rely on agents’ knowledge and expertise to help them achieve their dream holiday, according to research from Royal Caribbean International.

The poll of 2,000 adults also showed that a further 20% believe agents can help them get the most for their money.

The survey highlighted that the majority of tourists travel to the same accommodation in the same resort, with 62% of those quizzed admitting they have returned to a holiday resort within ten years and 12% going back to the same place six times or more.

Stuart Leven (pictured), the cruise line’s managing director for the UK and Ireland, said: “The findings of our research confirm the important role agents play in helping many people unlock a new travel experience, and that is why we’re dedicated to providing the tools and incentives to introduce holidaymakers to our wide range of destinations and innovative on board activities – particularly those who have never considered cruise before.

“Our strong re-booking rate highlights that people are opting to cruise with Royal Caribbean time and time again. Our customers understand that there is no need to get stuck in a rut or compromise because you can experience a different holiday each time.”
