‘Real appetite’ for ship visits, says Princess Cruises

More than 550 agents have signed up for ship visits with Princess Cruises.

The line announced last week it would have 23 ship visits in 2015. Within two days almost all the 600 available places were taken up, with less than 20 places now remaining.

Alex White, head of sales, said the line had seen a growing interest in visits over the past year.

“We increased the number of visits we had last year and we’re increasing that even further this year,” he said. “We’ve seen a real appetite for agents wanting to experience our product which is great.

“The immersive ship visit experience is a great way of showing off the Princess Cruises product and showing agents what the brand is all about.”

White said the demand had been a positive sign, and promised that any agents who miss out would have opportunities in the future to get on board.

“We haven’t released details of all of the visits so there will be more opportunities. We’re particularly excited about August 1 when we will have three ships in different UK ports – Ocean Princess in Dover and Caribbean Princess and Royal Princess in Southampton.”
