The Hays Travel Group has agreed a deal to acquire Guernsey-based travel agency Hot Mango Travel.
The agency was previously a member of the Hays Independence Group but Hays has now acquired the business, which has five members of staff, for an undisclosed amount.
The previous owner had been looking to exit the business and the deal with Hays was signed on Friday.
John Hays, managing director of Hays, said: “We’re opening an agency in Guernsey and it’s our first time operating there so we are branching out.
“The agency will keep its name for the time short term and it’s yet to be decided whether we will rebrand it or not. We most likely will rebrand.
“It’s a nice agency with good bookings – it does very well.”
Hays said Hot Mango specialises in long-haul and makes “high average transactions”.
Hays admitted he was always on the lookout to make more acquisitions and was constantly seeking opportunities to expand the Hays network.
