Clia UK and Ireland has elected a new chair for its river cruise committee.
Lucia Rowe, head of sales UK and Ireland for river cruise line A-Rosa, will take on the role with immediate effect.
The committee is made up of representatives from all 18 river cruise members of Clia.
Andy Harmer, director of Clia UK and Ireland, said: “The River Cruise Committee does a really important job in ensuring that all CLIA member river operators are working together to grow the size of the sector, and we are delighted that Lucia Rowe as Chair will help us shape our future activity as we reach out to new travel agents and yet to cruise customers.”
He said this month was an important time for river cruise with Clia running its first dedicated consumer campaign – the River Cruise Weekend.
