Reuben’s Retreat has put together a ‘thank you’ video for the travel trade to showcase the transformation of the charity’s new premises into a bereavement counselling centre.
The centre, due to open in mid-April in the lodge section of the building in the Peak District, comes two and a half years after the death of toddler Reuben Graham from a rare brain tumour.
The charity reached its initial target of £1 million last summer and has sufficient funds remaining to run the centre for two years.
However, it now needs to raise up to £2 million to renovate the site’s main building into a retreat for families with children who are terminally ill or have a life-threatening condition.
