Silver Travel Advisor appoints first sales and recruitment manager

Silver Travel Advisor has appointed its first sales and recruitment manager as the business continues to grow its retail network.

Leanne Robinson, who previously worked for Thomas Cook and Travel Counsellors, will be responsible for improving the selling skills of the group’s existing homeworkers while also strengthening the recruitment efforts of the business, which specialises in travel advice for the over fifties.

She will report into head of retail Julie Crumpton and work on the group’s homeworking agency ahead of its next intake of new recruits in November, a month before the company’s first conference at sea.

Crumpton said: “We recognize the importance of having a dedicated professional such as Leanne to oversee our sales initiatives and recruitment efforts. This new role will ensure we are well-equipped to meet the needs of our customers while fostering a vibrant homeworking culture that attracts and nurtures the best in the industry.”

She added: “Leanne and I are keen to talk to people both in the industry, and those who are looking to return. Having been successful homeworkers ourselves not only do we understand the building blocks needed to grow a travel business, but we know what to do to keep the culture we have right now so that nobody becomes just a number.”

Robinson said: “I’m thrilled to be joining at a pivotal time for the business. As the demand for travel in the silver segment continues to increase, Silver Travel Advisor is committed to expanding its reach and continually improving the quality of the service we provide to our valued customers.”
