Abta chief executive Mark Tanzer said: “I am delighted to welcome Victoria back to the association.

“Victoria brings to her role as head of brand and business development a strong background in marketing and communications, within both an agency and plc environment, together with her knowledge of Abta and experience in developing the Travel with confidence strategy.”

Bacon, who takes up the new job on Monday (April 13), said: “I am very excited about the opportunities this role brings both for the association and for me personally.
