GOLDEN TULIP EXTENDS PROMOTIONAL OFFERS
Hotel consortium Golden Tulip Worldwide has extended its Discover Asian Values promotional packages until March 31 2000. Ten hotels in Asia offer visitors staying a minimum of three nights one of several themed packages which include Rest and Relaxation, Golfing and Diving.
JNTO ASKS AGENTS TO THINK OF A CATCHPHRASE
The Japan National Tourist Office is running a competition for the best catchphrase to go with its new logo. The first prize is a trip to Japan for two people. The JNTO is looking for a short, punchy phrase to convey the idea that Japan is an appealing destination. Entry forms are available from the JNTO and must be submitted by June 30.
THAILAND OFFERS TOURISTS VAT REFUNDS
Thailand is offering tourists VAT refunds for the first time. Refunds are available on all goods totalling more than £85 bought by anyone who is not permanently resident in Thailand.
