Hays Travel unveils 23 regional ‘Be the Sunshine’ winners

Hays Travel has announced the ‘Be the Sunshine’ winner from each of its 23 regions, with each winning agent set to receive £1,000 on their Smile reward card.

The ‘Be the Sunshine’ scheme, announced at Hays Travel’s 2023 retail conference in Portugal, celebrates and rewards exceptional customer service, and is open to all travel colleagues, from apprentices to branch managers.

Every month from January to September 2024, colleagues were nominated from Hays Travel’s branches across the UK, for going above and beyond to look after customers.

Each month’s winners receive a certificate and £100 added to their Smile reward card.

The overall regional winners were announced last week to coincide with National Customer Service Week.

As well as £1,000, each regional winner also receives a certificate and regional winner badge.

Paula Barrett, Hays Travel head of retail, said: “We are proud to be known for giving our customers excellent service, and announced our Be the Sunshine initiative at last year’s Overseas Conference to celebrate just how great our retail colleagues are at caring for our customers.

“We are incredibly proud of our 23 Be the Sunshine winners, who went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service and thoroughly deserve this recognition.

“We’re excited for the next stage, when each of our 23 regional winners is entered into the divisional final to find our five divisional winners – who will be invited to attend our 2024 overseas conference where the national winner will be announced.”
