Tui expands winter Thailand programme over two seasons

Tui has added an extra 6,000 seats to Thailand for this winter and a further 9,000 for 2025-26, driven by a 35% increase in demand.

A new Friday flight will operate from Gatwick from December 6 in addition to weekly departures from the London airport and Manchester.

The new service enables holidaymakers to take 10- and 11-night stays in addition to seven and 14-night holidays already on offer.

Extra flights have also been added from both UK airports from November 2025.

Thirteen new hotels have been added for this winter 2024, including Barcelo Coconut Island Phuket, Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort and Wyndham Grand Nai Harn Beach Phuket.

The portfolio for winter 2025 is being expanded to include more properties in Khao Lak, with a particular emphasis on all-inclusive options, catering to both family and multi-centre travellers.

Thailand has been one of Tui’s most popular winter long-haul destinations, with strong load factors across November and December, and particularly high interest around the Christmas and new year period.

Families are a significant driver of this growth, with Tui Blue Mai Khao Lak (pictured) being the top choice for family stays, accounting for a 32% uptake in family bookings, according to the operator.

Tui UK & Ireland commercial director Phillip Iveson said: “The enthusiasm for Thailand from our customers has been incredible, and we are delighted to be able to meet their needs with more options than ever before.

“We know that many of our travellers are looking for more than just a holiday- they want meaningful experiences and memorable journeys with their loved ones.

“This feedback has inspired us to expand our Thailand portfolio, especially with multi-centre holidays that allow customers to explore more of this beautiful country in one trip”.

Iveson added: “Tui has also seen impressive growth in multi-centre holidays in Thailand. The Krabi + Khao Lak + Phuket triple-centre option remains the most popular, allowing customers to experience multiple destinations in one trip.

“The tour offerings including the well-loved Elephant Hills tour have also seen strong demand. This expansion in Thailand reflects our commitment to delivering diverse, family-friendly holiday options in sought-after destinations.”
