Clia 2015: Cruise sales teams urged to make best use of Clia resources

Cruise line sales teams have been urged to utilise the resources and materials available through Clia UK and Ireland.

Ahead of the start of the annual Selling Cruise Conference, the cruise association presented to the sales teams from each cruise line member at a One Industry – One Voice session.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s Nick Wilkinson, who is also head of Clia’s trade focused working group, said: “It’s important that you [sales teams] remember that Clia doesn’t just provide materials for and assist travel agents, it’s also for you.

“We need you, as the sales teams out on the road, to help grow this industry, so use everything available to you.”

He said some may not be aware of the level of materials available but urged delegates to log on to the cruiseexperts.org website and find out more.

He told the cruise line representatives: “We need you, we need your input. Tell us how we can help you.”

Andy Harmer said the association was always looking at way to increase online cruise content.

One example of an online tool Clia is introducing is a digital dashboard which pulls together anything on social media which uses the hashtag #MyClia.
