Royal Caribbean to bring new ships to UK for trade showcase

Royal Caribbean will bring its next two new ships to the UK to showcase them to the travel trade to reflect the ever-growing importance of the UK market.

Speaking on board Anthem of the Seas on the ship’s two-night naming sailing, president and chief executive Michael Bayley (pictured) confirmed: “We will bring Harmony of the Seas here next spring to show her off to the UK.

“She’s going to be sailing in the Mediterranean and UK agents will be crucial to selling her. We want our travel partners to fully understand how gorgeously beautiful Harmony is going to be and the only way to do that properly is for them to see her for themselves.”

He said he would bring Harmony in for a couple of days to enable his UK team to get as many of their trade partners on board.

Bayley said he would also bring Ovation of the Seas into Southampton as well in 2018 before the ship begins operations in China.
