MSC Cruises has recruited three new sales reps as it looks to develop stronger ties with the trade.
The new recruits include Laura Montalban from Norwegian Cruise Lines, and Mark Swords from Travel 2. The pair join MSC this week and will then be followed by Alicia Bartlett who is to join from Carnival UK next month.
Speaking about the appointments at Clia UK and Ireland’s Selling Cruise Conference, Giles Hawke, executive director of the line, said the line now had a nine-strong sales team.
He said: “We want to work even more closely alongside travel agents. They’re all extremely passionate and they have the attitude we’re looking for as we look to grow MSC Cruises’ business in the UK.
“We’ve grown our sales team because we want to offer our existing travel agent partners even better support and we also want to work with new agents.
“We obviously want to massively drive the volumes we do from the UK, so supporting our partners as best we can is key.”
