QATAR Airways will launch daily one-stop flights from Heathrow to Kathmandu on October 31.
The rise from the current four weekly flights is due to increasing demand from leisure travellers to fly to Nepal.
Flights operate via Doha on three-class Airbus A300s. Connections to the onward flight to Nepal from Qatar take just under two hours at Doha.
Chief executive Akbar Al Baker said requests from operators across Europe had led to the airline investing greater resources in flights to the Himalayas.
Qatar also offers flights from Munich to Kathmandu.
The Airbuses are currently being refurbished with new seats in all classes to give improved service and comfort. The first- class seat converts to a bed.
Business, which has individual video screens, and economy cabins will be refurbished by the end of the summer.
