All Canada devises new hotel-rating system

ALLCANADAhas devised a hotel-rating system to help customers make a more informed choice when selecting their accommodation.

The feature is part of the operator’s ski and winter-break brochure, launched this week.

Other new additions include maps showing the location of lifts and runs and extra value services such as complimentary breakfasts, ski shuttles and daily housekeeping.

Managing director James Hoseason said a star-rating system was introduced as Canada does not have an official guide of its own.

“This will help customers make the best hotel choice for their trip,” he said.

Independent tours and city breaks have also been increased as the operator looks to attract non-skiing customers.

New tours include the seven- day Winter Wonderland rail tour, departing Vancouver and taking in Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff and the Rockies. A transfer and service package has also been added which includes airport meet and greet, information packages and round-trip transfers.

Meanwhile, Hoseason said the operator will continue with its trade-only sales policy after last winter’s successful start.
