Call me a lone voice in the wilderness, but I really feel I must complain about the standard of brochures we are receiving these days. Indeed every fresh edition seems to produce even lower standards of quality.
As an agent we are often asked by 12 and 13-year-olds for various brochures on say the Caribbean or Egypt, for school projects which have to be completed in a couple of days time.
Quite frankly the information contained in many brochures is hardly sufficient to impress any teacher and as for the photographs – dear oh dear.
Page upon page of pictures of various hotels, yet hardly anything with which to decorate the project front cover with. It simply isn’t good enough. This sort of thing lowers the high standards we have come to expect from many tour operators and will, I feel, substantially harm the industry’s image in the long run.
