Princess Cruises believes its new flight booking system will make the booking process simpler for agents.
The line is introducing the new tool, called Plane Sailing, after agent feedback highlighting the challenges with old system Flight Select.
Paul Ludlow, managing director UK for the line, said the new system was “more intuitive” and mean the booking process would be seamless for agents.
“We asked agents for their feedback a couple of months ago with the Vote For Change survey,” Ludlow explained. “They asked us to focus on our booking portal and systems and that’s exactly what we’ve done.
“First of all we brought in new booking platform One Source and now we’re highlighting how we continue to listen to agents by the introduction of Plane Sailing
“The new system is far more intuitive and it involves a lot less clicks. It will be easier and quicker for agents to use.
“It’s always been important for us to be easy to work with.”
The booking system now automatically returns the best flight options during the booking process but also allows agents to tailor their choices if adding pre or post-stays.
Ludlow said he believed the new system would drive fly-cruise bookings.
