Brand USA announces dates for UK and Ireland MegaFam

Brand USA, the destination marketing organisation for the US, will hold its next MegaFam for the UK and Ireland trade on May 11-19.

The annual event will take place in partnership with Aer Lingus, American Airlines and British Airways.

Sixty agents from the UK and Ireland will travel to the US, with a range of itineraries that will be revealed early in the new year.

Like 2024’s MegaFam in September, the trip will conclude alongside a European delegation of 35 agents. For 2025, the finale will be in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Brand USA said the UK continues to be the top source of overseas arrivals to the US, with 4.3 million visitors forecasted in 2024.

There is also “promising” growth from Ireland, with 517,400 visitors forecasted in the same year, said the tourism body.

Jackie Ennis, global trade development vice-president at Brand USA, said: “Our annual MegaFam has become a highly anticipated calendar event for UK and Irish agents who look forward to the opportunity each year to build on their product knowledge first hand in the US.

“It has been hugely valuable to the success of the UK and Irish market, which performed incredibly well in 2024.

“We’re delighted to once again have the support of airline partners Aer Lingus, American Airlines and British Airways to highlight new and existing routes to key US gateways and beyond.”

To win a place on the trip, agents will be required to log their bookings made with Aer Lingus, American Airlines and British Airways in January and February.

Agents will also be required to complete the MegaFam Airlines Badge on the USA Discovery Programme, Brand USA’s official agent training site.

The trip will take place from May 11-19, with agents landing back in the UK and Ireland on May 20.
