Not Just Travel has paid tribute to operations and customer experience executive Kristina Janes, who worked in operations for the company for more than 10 years and died aged 49 after a short illness.
The company said Janes had been an integral part of its corporate team and had left an “indelible mark on both colleagues and travel consultants”.
A statement paid tribute to her “endless compassion, tireless work ethic and unwavering dedication to those she worked with” and said there had been an “outpouring of love” which included hundreds of messages from consultants.
Before joining Not Just Travel, Janes was a travel agent with First Choice and Your Co-op Travel, where she was an assistant general manager.
Co-founder Steve Witt said: “To all of us, Kristina has been a rock and a firm foundation of the Not Just Travel business over the years, having worked in operations for over 10 years. No matter what you needed in the business, Kristina was there to help, along with her cheeky grin.
“She was always at the end of the phone, ready to offer support, lend a listening ear and ensure that things got done. She always made people feel supported and valued.”
He added: “Kristina has been part of the Not Just Travel family for longer than most and will be dearly missed. She joined us with a huge background in retail travel and was always there to help with advice and support. Over the years, she’s helped in many areas of the business and touched many team members with her humour, her banter, and her loyal support.
“Kristina will be deeply missed by everyone in the business who ever had the opportunity to work with her.”
