Stent shows star quality

STANSTED Airport frontman John Stent was hand-picked to pull on his football shirt and shorts to star alongside colleagues in a charity match.

Stent was playing in aid of the airport’s security supervisor, and Stansted Airport Football Club founder, Ray Bull, who has been on sick leave for a year.

The match was between a Stansted Airport International XI and a passenger services side.

The sale of Arsenal and Tottenham-signed footballs will help to raise more money for Ray.

Sadly the game kicked off after Travel Weekly had gone to press so we can’t bring you the score.
