Riviera Travel has enhanced its service offering for its long-haul tours and cruises.
The ‘Long Haul Travel Concierge’ builds on the current ‘Travel Concierge’ service to provide upgrades, alternative flights and airports to make it easier to book from regional destinations.
Pre and post-stays will have no cap on the number of nights as long as they are within the same destination as the start and end of the holiday.
The river cruise and tour operator will offer door-to-door UK taxi transfers and UK regional rail options which are bookable three months before departure.
For river cruises, Riviera Travel will similarly offer alternative flights, including upgrades and alternative airports, as well as Eurostar or high-speed trains (TGV), plus no cap on pre or post-night stays, overseas transfers and internal flights for extensions.
This comes after Riviera Travel started paying commissions on previously exempt add-ons, such as sole occupancy supplements, room upgrades, flight upgrades and extras like personalising holiday experiences, extra baggage, pre-booked seats and priority boarding.

“With our growing emphasis on long-haul, we recognised some gaps, particularly when it came to regional flight bookings. We hope these changes will significantly benefit the agents we work with.
“We’ve worked diligently to implement these improvements in time for peaks, making bookings easier than ever. Ensuring our hardworking agents have the simplest booking process possible is a top priority for us.”
