Meon Valley Travel ‘goes back to its roots’ with rebrand

Hampshire-based business and leisure agency Meon Valley Travel has returned to its original name of Meon Travel “to reflect its global reach”.

The Petersfield agency will be known as Meon Travel, with its subsidiary brands changing to Meon Travel Management for its corporate and repatriation specialities, and Travel With Meon, which operates in the holiday market.

James Beagrie, managing director, said a name change was needed to recognise the agency’s expanding international reach.

“Having a UK-based travel management company on their doorstep is a great asset for our core base of clients, but a significant proportion are not local,” he said.

“Our clients are international, and we cover all four corners of the globe, particularly with medical assistance.

“Having ‘Valley’ in our name felt a little parochial, so we have gone back to our roots from 60 years ago; the business was originally founded in 1964 as Meon Travel.”

The new branding will be introduced from February 1.

The agency is a member of the Advantage Travel Partnership.
