Leger Holidays has published its first dedicated rail brochure on the back of trade feedback indicating increasing demand for train travel.
The brochure, entitled ‘Fully Escorted Rail Holidays Throughout Europe, 2025-26 Collection’, features the Red and Yellow Trains of the Pyrenees, the Jungfrau Railway and the Glacier Express through the Swiss Alps.
Five rail holidays make their debut in the brochure, including two long-haul trips to India and South Africa.

Ashley Dellow, head of retail sales at Leger Shearings Group, said: “Trains hold a special fascination, and the new Leger Holidays brochure contains some real wish-list rail experiences.
“In addition, agents increasingly tell me their customers want to avoid airports and many of the tours in the brochure offer travel from London to Europe by rail – it’s a faster way to get the holiday underway but, like coach travel, it’s stress-free and gives the chance to relax and enjoy the scenery on the way.”
The 16-day itinerary ‘India – Taj Mahal, Tigers & Shimla’ costs from £4,995 and includes a trip on the toy train from Shima. The track passes 20 railway stations, 103 tunnels and 900 curves. The price includes international and internal flights, accommodation, most meals and excursions.
‘Cape Town, The Blue Train and The Big Five’ is a 12-day itinerary, costing from £5,995, which includes a two-night rail journey from Cape Town to Pretoria and a stay at the five-star Ivory Tree Game Lodge at Pilanesberg National Park & Game Reserve.
The price includes flights, accommodation, most meals, full board on the Blue Train, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and full board at the Ivory Tree Game Lodge.
The brochure also features festive trips to destinations including the Swiss Alps, the Black Forest and Transylvania.
All tours are accompanied by an experienced tour manager.
