Fred Olsen Cruise Lines ship Borealis has made it debut in Newcastle offering spring and summer departures.
The 1,390-passenger vessel visited the Port of Tyne for the first time ahead of a series of cruises from the northeast to destinations including Norway, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, France and the Mediterranean.
The inaugural call by Borealis came ahead of a 10-night Northern Lights itinerary including an overnight stay in Tromso.
Newcastle on of the line’s UK departure ports, alongside Liverpool, Portsmouth, Southampton, Dover, Rosyth and Southampton.
Guest experience director Doug Glenwright said: “We’re delighted to be returning to the Port of Tyne to mark the start of our 2025 cruises from Newcastle.
