Panorama adds France and Austria for 2000 programme

PANORAMA has introduced France and Austria to its 1999/2000 ski programme in a drive to attract repeat bookers.

The resorts of Les Deux Alpes and Alpe d’Huez are featured in France with Soll, Kitzbuhel and Saalback the Austrian destinations.

Prices, which are 5% up on last year, lead in at £225 per person based on four sharing self-catering accommodation at the three-star Orion apartments in Les Deux Alpes.

Ski product manager Corri Boyle said:”Adding these resorts to our programme widens our target audience and offers a greater variety for our repeat business.”

The addition of France – traditionally for more experienced skiers – will open up the programme for skiers of all standards, she added.

Boyle refused to reveal growth targets because parent company Airtours is still looking to acquire First Choice. “It is too commercially sensitive,” she said.

Also new for 1999/2000 are Andorran ski safaris which offer customers the chance to ski at five resorts with an English-speaking ski ranger.

Brighton-based Panorama is also looking to expand its Irish market with flights from Belfast to Livigno new to the programme.

Flights from East Midlands to Andorra have also been added.

Early-booking offers include one free lift pass per couple on bookings made before October 31 while one person in six goes free on group bookings.
