Comment: A new look just for you

By the time you read this, the biggest celebration of travel agents in the UK will have taken place in London.

And as the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards were all about honouring the very best of our readers, we thought there was no better place to reveal a fresh new look for the travel industry’s number-one trade magazine.

Guests at the AAAs on Tuesday were given a sneak peak at what’s inside this week’s edition, and we hope you like what you see in the pages ahead too.

As you’ll see, all your favourite features and pages are still here but, five years on from our last redesign, we thought the time was right to freshen things up and give you a bright and contemporary new look and feel.

As always, we are constantly looking to improve what we do, so please email me your feedback and suggestions to lucy.huxley@travelweekly.co.uk.

Turning back to the AAAs, I was blown away by the buzz in the build-up to the night, which sold out more than two months in advance.

Just three years after acquiring the event, we hosted 800 guests and nominees, and the number of enquiries we received since it sold out shows we could have hosted many more.

I’m sure it will have been a great night, and the clearest possible demonstration of the importance so many suppliers place on travel agents as a distribution channel (page 6).

Look out for the full list of winners on Travelweekly.co.uk, and check out your new look Travel Weekly in the coming weeks for loads of photos and reaction.
