Travel industry stalwart Helen Peters has left her role at Bicester Village after seven years to launch her own consultancy business, stating that the “time felt right to go it alone”.
Peters has 30 years’ experience in both the inbound and outbound tourism sectors having been deputy tourism director with Value Retail Management at Bicester, national sales manager at Silversea Cruises and Cruise Portfolio and a customer services manager at Thomas Cook.
She said: “After seven years the time just felt right to go it alone.
“After a break this summer I will be working under the company name JG&HG Peters as I look to work as a tourism sales and marketing consultant.
“With many years of experience I hope to use my expertise to help others.
“It has been a question of finding the right time to break out and at the moment there is a lot going on in the industry, it is buoyant and now seems as good a time as any to go it alone.”
On her LinkedIn profile Peters states: “I am looking forward to using my skills and experience to support others who may be just starting out [in the inbound and outbound tourism sectors] or shifting their focus to some of the fastest growing source markets like China, South East Asia and the Middle East.”
Peters was elected as a board member of Shakespeare’s England in 2013 and is an ITT fellow.
