Regent Seven Seas announces restructure plans

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced plans to restructure and expand its sales team.

Head of UK sales, Paul Beale, said the extended sales team and changes being made would help “firmly harness the growing needs of the UK travel trade”.

He said the changes would help the business grow and build the number of agents the line is working with.

“It will mean we have focus on key accounts but also more focus on the mid-tier agents to help them to grow their sales. We want one booking to become two and three to become four.”

The line has appointed Duncan Croucher in the role of southern regional sales manager.

Sarah Brooks, previously senior regional sales manager, will move into the newly-created role of key account manager with immediate effect.

Caroline Moody, business development director, returns from maternity leave this month in a part-time job-share with Anna Salter.

From October 1, Ed Lang, previously training and events manager, will take on the new role of tour operator and groups manager. His previous role will be taken by Dee Smith who is to join Regent from Kuoni on October 12.

Beale added: “The restructured team will increase focus and support for agent relationships from a field and office perspective, and will be on hand to create brand new relationships and turn the occasional bookings into more frequent occurrences.”
