Abta LifeLine unveils campaign to raise £15,000 for sick baby

Abta LifeLine has launched an appeal to raise funds to help a
five-month-old baby.

Charlie’s Appeal was officially launched with a target of £15,000 at Abta LifeLine’s fourth annual charity dinner at the Royal Air Force Club in London.

Charlie, son of Sophie Reynolds, who previously worked for Crystal Cruises and Bourne Leisure, was born with a rare condition that results in the paralysis of the vocal chords.

Until he can have an operation to correct his condition in two years’ time, the family needs to rent a three-bedroom house so that Charlie can sleep in a separate room with his breathing apparatus and have round-the-clock supervision.

Also at the dinner, which raised £10,000, Abta LifeLine chairman Sidney Perez retired after 22 years. He is being succeeded by Kuoni managing director Derek Jones.
