We witnessed first-hand the chaos at Eurotunnel’s Calais terminal when French staff went on strike. Unhappy with our French cousins, we finally got on the train only to find English Eurotunnel staff handing out envelopes addressed to the operator’s customer relations department demanding passengers to write in protest. “Tell them what you think of those French and try and get your money back,” he told us. And who says we’re not ready to embrace Europe?
