Silversea aims to drive growth with sales team restructure

Silversea has restructured its sales team to help drive further growth in the UK market.

The line has made four new appointments, including a position dedicated to expedition cruising.

Helen Crosbie has been appointed national and key account manager and joins the line this month. She joins from Avis Budget Group and previously worked at Thomas Cook as national sales manager for Netflights and supplier relations manager for cruise.

Sarah Dooley, formerly of Cruise118, Low Cost Travel Group and Cruising Excursions, has joined Silversea as northwest regional sales manager.

Jon Knight has been promoted to the newly-created role of regional and strategic account manager. He has worked with Silversea for the past seven years and will continue to manage the southwest and Channel Islands.

All three will report into Natasha Donovan, head of trade sales.

To meet the increasing demand in expedition cruising, Akvile Marozaite, has been appointed regional sales manager focusing on niche and specialist expedition operators.

Lisa McAuley, commercial director for the UK and Ireland, said: “Our new sales structure allows us to further develop our strong relationships with trade partners across the UK.

“Helen, Sarah, Jon and Akvile bring a wealth of experience to Silversea and we look forward to taking the UK market from strength to strength.”

The line’s marketing team has also appointed a new marketing executive. Sarah Barr joins from Viking River Cruises where she was responsible for advertising, events, exhibitions and trade marketing. At Silversea, Barr will be responsible for offline marketing activities.
