Amadeus River Cruises is expanding in 2016 with the introduction of a third extended-capacity vessel.
The addition of the 168-passenger Amadeus Silver III will bring the company’s European fleet up to nine vessels.
Like sister boat, Amadeus Silver II, the vessel will feature 72 cabins and 12 suites to offer more specious accommodation, following customer feedback.
The two vessels will hold fewer passengers than the company’s first ‘long-ship’, the 180-passenger Amadeus Silver I which entered service in 2013 with 78 cabins and 12 suites.
Amadeus Silver III will be deployed mainly on the Rhine with its first cruise from Amsterdam visiting Volendam, Arnhem, Middleburg, Antwerp, Kinderdijk and Urtecht. Lead in prices start at £977 per person, cruise only.
The company’s 2016 River Cruises brochure features sailings on the Seine for a second year with the 146-passenger Amadeus Diamond from Paris and an eight-day itinerary from Lyon.
Wine is being included for the first time next year together with beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner.
