The Travel Network Group targets business travel

The Travel Network Group is making a play for an increased share of the lucrative business travel sector.

The consortium is enhancing its corporate travel offering to its 800 members under the Corporate Travel Solutions brand.

A range of new benefits have been developed for members who work with the group through its relationship with Uniglobe, as well as others who may want to start offering business travel.

The relaunch follows a review of the group’s business travel proposition by an external consultant.

A key part of the review was a consultation with members asking what could be done to improve the service offered in the business travel sector and how to develop it.

New enhancements include a bespoke website which can be adapted to reflect members’ business travel proposition.

Other benefits include:

  • Formal presentations and pitching documents that can be used by members.

  • Personalised materials members can use to market their business travel offering.

  • Access to competitively priced fares accessible through in-house technology platform, Honeycomb, using the group’s Iata licence,

Group managing director, Gary Lewis, said: “Corporate Travel Solutions will help our members and their business travel proposition in a number of ways.

“Firstly, there will still be the opportunity for them to act as a sub-branch of our Uniglobe membership and qualify for the net fares through our Iata licence using our own Honeycomb technology.

“And, secondly, give them access to a whole host of real tangible benefits that range from helping them write business presentations to assistance with producing personalised marketing materials.”

He added: “Over the past three years we have worked hard to transform our group from what was a traditional travel consortia to what it is today – a membership organisation that offers members a wide and varied portfolio of products and services, enabling them to get the very best out of their travel business.

“Business travel can be a very lucrative sector for our members and, as always, we want to help them get the most out of their membership with us, which is why all of these new enhancements will be offered completely free.”
