Princess Cruises has promoted Rachel Poultney to head of sales.
Poultney, who has been sales manager for major accounts at the line for the past three years, will replace Alex White when he moves over to sister brands P&O Cruises and Cunard.
In her previous role, Poultney looked after accounts such as Tui, Iglu and Bolsover Cruise Club.
She will now lead a 15-strong sales team split across office and field.
Tony Roberts, vice president of Princess Cruises UK and Europe, said: “Rachel has excelled since joining Princess Cruises so I am delighted to appoint her to this pivotal position.
“She has managed her accounts exceptionally well, and added an extra dimension of leadership, drive and innovation to the team, so is perfectly placed to take Princess forward.”
Speaking about her appointment, Poultney said: “I am pleased and privileged to be appointed as the new head of sales at such an exciting time. I will develop and enhance relationships with our agent partners and deliver market leading tools so we continue to be even easier to do business with.
“We’re in a fantastic position coming into peak trading and with Emerald Princess, our homeport ship for 2016, shortly undergoing an extensive refurbishment, I’m confident and looking forward to the future.”
