Anti-airport expansion protestors blocked the main access tunnel into the central are of Heathrow this morning.
Three Plane Stupid activists locked themselves inside the tunnel which provides access to the airport’s central terminals at 7.40am.
The protest group posted a picture on Instagram of traffic queuing to get into the airport and used Twitter to announce the protest.

— Plane Stupid (@planestupid) November 26, 2015They said the blockade of the main tunnel to Terminals 1,2 and 3 was being made “to protest airport expansion in the face of climate chaos”.
Plane Stupid last staged direct action at the airport in the summer after the Airports Commission backed plans for a third runway at Heathrow.
The protest came as MPs prepare for a debate on the final report by the Airports Commission today (Thursday).
