Airtours introduces festive ski first

AIRTOURS is introducing nine and 10-night ski holidays for the first time to offer people the chance to celebrate both Christmas and New Year during their holiday.

“Christmas and New Year’s Eve fall on a Saturday. We wanted to give people the chance to enjoy both days in the one holiday,” said head of specialist products Gary Wardrope.

Millennium holidays in its new 1999/2000 Ski brochure start at £719 for nine nights at the Livigno apartments in Italy. Free child places apply to the Christmas and millennium period as well as February half-term.

There is a saving of up to £100 off millennium prices for people who book before July 1.

Also featured are four new resorts, taking the total number of resorts offered by Airtours to 48 across six countries.

Three of the new resorts are in France – Tignes, La Tania and Les Arcs – starting at £179 for seven nights at La Tania departing on January 8. The fourth is at Madonna di Campiglio in Italy with a lead in price of £239 per person for seven nights at the Bagaglino apartments departing Gatwick January 8.

The operator has increased its ski day trip offer from just one last year to five this year.

The price of £159 (Manchester to Chamonix) or £169 (London Gatwick to Chamonix) includes return flights and transfer and enables up to 6hrs skiing. Ski weekends start at £239 per person for two nights.
