Travel shares slump in wake of Brussels attacks

Travel company share prices slumped on the London stock exchange this morning in the wake of the Brussels attacks.

Thomas Cook was down by almost 5% at 88.2p following its trading update which revealed a drop in summer bookings.

Rival Tui lost nearly 3% to 973p, International Airlines Group was down 22p or 4% lower at 536p and easyJet down 3.5% at £14.47.

Carnival Corporation was down by 2% at £34.35 and InterContinental Hotels dropped 2% at £27.62.
