Manchester Airport fills development post

MANCHESTER Airport has promoted Aidan Mooney to business development manager.

He will be responsible for six business account managers committed to developing new routes with scheduled and charter carriers, and also with tour operators. Mooney will report to director of business development Bill Savage.

Mooney has been working at the airport for eight years, spending the last two-and-half-years in the business development department working on new services for Singapore Airlines, American Airlines and Malaysia Airlines.

Mooney replaces Tony Griffin who left the airport earlier this year to join Manchester-based aviation firm Airport Strategy and Marketing Ltd.
