A codeshare pact between BMI Regional and Brussels Airlines has been extended to cover flights to the Belgian capital from six UK airports.
BMI Regional travellers will be able to book flights operated by Brussels Airlines from Heathrow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Belfast as well as Nantes in northern France.
The two carriers first agreed codeshares on routes to Brussels from East Midlands and Newcastle in 2014.
BMI Regional chief commercial officer, Jochen Schnadt, said: “The extension of our codeshare agreement with Brussels Airlines means that our passengers now have a range of new routes into Brussels.
“We are delighted to build on our existing collaboration, supporting both the airline and Belgium in accessing a new audiences in the UK and beyond.
“Brussels Airlines and BMI Regional share similar values, we are business powered, full-service airlines who put great store by customer convenience and delivering a quality experience.”
Brussels Airlines vice president commercial Benelux, Europe and North America, Frederic Dechamps, added: “We have developed over the last years a successful commercial and operational partnership with BMI Regional and this extended codeshare cooperation is a logic next step.
“This collaboration is once more an illustration of the importance we give to the UK in our growing network.”
