PANORAMA is re-entering mainland Spain for summer 2000 as it bids to expand its customer base.
The Airtours-owned operator is featuring Benalmadena and Torremolinos on the Costa del Sol with a mixture of self- catering apartments and hotels.
Panorama last featured the Spanish mainland more than a decade ago.
Also new for 2000 are the Algarve and the Spanish islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. All feature self-catering apartments and three and four-star hotels.
Sales and marketing director Martin Young said:”The Canary Islands represent about 12% of the summer market and we wanted to be better represented while we still get requests for mainland Spain and wanted to increase our customer base.”
He declined to reveal capacity increases but new parent Airtours has already stated it wants to expand the Brighton-based operation. In the operator’s 2000 Tunisia programme, regional flights have been introduced from Teesside and Bristol.
Two new hotels have been added in Hammamet while desert tours have been added to cash in on the new Star Wars film which was shot in Tunisia.
