EUROPEAN Life chief executive Warren Sandral was overwhelmed by the hospitality shown to him and his travel industry colleagues at Swiss Travel Service’s 50th anniversary bash at Interlaken.
The former ABTA Tour Operators’ Council chairman was also bowled over by some very kind agents – not least his former counterpart on Travel Agents’ Council – Stephen Bath. Warren was on a whitewater rafting trip when he was inadvertently thrown out of the boat. Stephen pulled Warren out of the water which led Warren to comment: “It must be the only time a travel agent has rescued a tour operator.”
